To go to work, I travel by bicycle. The critical moments are when the bus leaves me and I have to ride home from the island of Key Biscayne to Little Havana. It is on the return trip home that I have suffered from severe heat stroke. At that moment, it was desperation, exhaustion, nausea, shortness of breath, and I felt my heart beating so hard that I don't know how to explain. I had to stop to look for shade under the bridge and get control of myself. These are difficult times, but I have learned to overcome.

Para ir al trabajo me traslado en bicicleta. Los momentos críticos son cuando me deja el bus y debo retornar a casa manejando desde la isla de Key Biscayne hasta la pequeña Habana. Fue a mi retorno cuando sufrí un golpe de calor fuerte. En ese momento hay desesperación, agotamiento, náuseas, falta de aire y siento el corazón palpitar tan fuerte que no sé cómo explicar. He tenido que parar para buscar sombra debajo del puente y conseguir controlarme. Son momentos difíciles, pero he aprendido a superarlos.
